Disney World

Animal Kingdom

overcast 60 °F

Since I was in Florida for some family business, I decided to spend a few days at Disney World, updating my experience there. They have instituted a Magic Band electronic ticketing and reservation system that I wanted to make sure that I understood. I am staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort in a river view room. This resort is in the downtown Disney area and you can take a boat to the complex, which I will do tomorrow. I decided to do the Animal Kingdom today, which is relatively quick to go through without little ones. The Expedition Everest roller coaster is robust for Disney, and not being a roller coaster person, was plenty to get that urge out of me. Going backwards, dropping in total darkness is about the most excitement that I can take! I also did the Kilimanjaro safari, which is always fun, even if you have been on safari in South Africa, which was an earlier trip. Dinner tonight is in the German Beirgarten in Epcot, which I am looking forward to.
