Norway and the Northern Lights

Trondheim, and cruising!

sunny 31 °F

Our first stop was Trondheim. There were several excursions available, but we are stopping on the way back and decided to do our excursion then. The highlight of Trondheim is their cathedral, who's spire you can see in the distance. We decided to just walk into town and catch the sites instead. Even though is was a Tuesday morning, there was not much activity in the city.

At noon, we again started our trek north passing some wonderful scenery including one of Norway's oldest lighthouses constructed in 1880

Even though the wind chill was in the single digits there were folks in both hot tubes.....and there didn't seem to be alcohol involved!

The Hurtigruten ships are working ferries below decks. There is a car deck and they transport significant pallets of cargo.
