Oasis of the Seas, Eastern Caribbean
Day 2 - Nassau

Another wonderful day on a cruise!. As the real purpose of this cruise is attending the largest travel convention ever held at sea, and I had several classes to attend, I didn’t go off the ship in Nassau. Not my favorite place anyway, and it’s the third trip I have made to Nassau since January. The only thing of note is that they have entirely rebuilt the straw market. It’s a very nice new building housing even more venders selling anything that you could possibly want that is Bahamas.
We went to the Broadway show “Hairspray” which was excellent. Equal in my opinion to anything that you could see in the big apple. Superb acting, dancing, singing and production. You can’t go wrong. Breakfast was at Johnnie Rockets. The Oasis and the Allure are the only places on earth that Johnnie Rockets offers breakfast. It was nice and quiet as many had left the ship. Lunch was at the Park Café in Central Park – a huge prepared to order salad. Tonight we are skipping the traditional dining in favor of Italian at Giovanni’s specialty restaurant. Another show tonight and a sea day tomorrow.
