Allure of the Seas

Western Caribbean

sunny 80 °F

Well, it's off to sea again aboard Royal Caribbean's Alllure of the Seas - my second trip on the ship, having gone out previously on the VIP Inaugural two day cruise.

Alllure is the sister ship of Oasis and is essentially identical. Oasis leaves on Saturdays and Allure leaves on Sundays alternating between Eastern and Western Caribbean, so one of them is in the Eastern each week, while the other is in the Western.

Boarding was again a piece of cake. We arrived at noon, no wait at the security check point, no wait for a check-in agent and no wait to get on board. As smooth as silk. As usually we went to the Spa cafe for a sandwich and coke while we waited for the rooms to open up at 1:00pm. Ship's emergency drill at 4:30pm, dinner at 6:00pm and then the Broadway show on board Chicago - and great start to the voyage heading to Labadee Haiti, Falmouth Jamaica and Cozumel.

I have some friends/clients on board who are booked in a two story Loft Suite. Pretty impressive. Here is a picture looking from their living room out the balcony across the harbor where Holland America's Westerdam is moored.
