3.4.15 - 3.4.15
Today was everything Fes. It started out foggy and by the time we had visited our first two stops - the Royal Palace and the 14th Century Jewish sector and cemetery it had cleared
We then headed to the opposite side of the valley for a panoramic view of the city with it's many districts and sites
We then spent the next 4 hours wandering the large maze of alleys that make up the ancient medina and than from the middle years. Unless you have done it, it's impossible to describe. Of course, no visit to Fes is complete without a visit to the ancient tanning operation, where jobs have been handed down from father to son for generations.
...and finally back to the hotel to pack for a very early 3:00am start to tomorrow to hopefully make it home - snow in the New York area willing. Morocco is a marvelous country with very friendly people and a comfortable way of life - well worth a visit!
My complete photo album will be forthcoming!
