Amsterdam

sunny 62 °F

This morning we cruised the canal towards Amsterdam and arrived at about 1:00pm. After lunch we boarded buses for our tour to Keuchenhof Gardens. A truly spectacular site. There are more than 7 million bulbs in bloom this spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. A unique and unforgettable experience! Besides the spacious 32 hectares of flowers you can enjoy the spectacular flower shows, surprising inspirational gardens, unique artwork and wonderful events.

Cruising and Amsterdam

overcast 60 °F

Our final day aboard AMACello was spent cruising the canal to Amsterdam, followed by a canal cruise and city tour. Amsterdam is the largest city in Holland with almost 800,000 people living within the city limits. In addition to one of the largest commercial centers in Europe, it is also one of the top financial centers of Europe. The historic canals of Amsterdam were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010. As you would expect the Anne Frank House was under heavy police protection. Of course, no panoramic city tour of Amsterdam would be complete without a drive by of the Red Light District!
